Holocaust Mahnmal
Holocaust Memorial

On May 10, 2005, Germany’s national Holocaust Mahnmal will be officially opened.
The design by architect Peter Eisenmann, consists of around 2.700 concrete blocks of 2,38m long and 95cm high,
not all levelled, on a sloping terrain. It will include an underground information centre.
The memorial is situated litterally within a stone’s throw – just 200 meters – of the former Führerbunker.
Next to the place of Hitler’s final down fall, a special memorial arises
