Back to Kabul

Home class, where girls and women - who were banned from public life and education
during the Taliban regime - learn to read and write. Once literate, they can continue
education at their own level and age group at a school or find a job. The class is
usually organized at the end of the afternoon at a teachers' home. This is for reasons
of reliability - so that as many girls and women will be allowed, by male relatives,
to attend the classes.
