Not
an ordinary summer 2002
Refugees in an asylum center, waiting for the decision on their asylum
appeal, receive evey week a small amount of money to cover their costs
of living. This Afghan family of five members has to manage with Euro
70,- (US$ 70,-) per week. This implies that there will be nothing left,
for example for any form of entertainment, day trips, holidays and so
on. The children are legally committed to attend school, even when their
asylum appeal is still pending. This series gives an impression how
the children spend their summer holiday in 2002, having little or no
means to undertake special activities.
